Javi Guerra: " It's good to start the year like this"

The Gilet-born midfielder came off the bench in the second half of the home win over Villarreal CF

The regional derby saw Valencia CF pick up all three points as Javi Guerra returned from a two-match ban to feature in the second half.

I think it was a good game in general terms and it's great to start the year like this. Especially in the first few minutes, when they seemed to be asleep, we took advantage of it to get a lead that we were able to maintain.

At Mestalla, we are a tough team that is difficult to score goals against and to beat, and together with the fans we have had a good year at home and we have to continue in this line.

Getting points is important for the team, we need to continue this way and think about the next game.
